Frank Crumley Named Interim AD at UGA

University of Georgia President Michael Adams named Frank Crumley as Athletic Director on an interim basis while the school begins its search for a new AD. Crumley was executive associate athletic director under Damon Evans.

He also announced that he had appointed a search committee to look for the new AD and said that the process could take 6-12 months.

That is a long time to have an interim in place and could lead to a lot of day to day intervention from Adams in the athletic department. Which is also something that I don’t think Adams minds.

Adams also said that the search will begin looking outside of UGA for successors to Damon Evans but would not rule out Crumley or other people from the inside.
