SANFORD STADIUM GOES HD! WHATS NEXT 3D?

facebooktwitterreddit

The UGA board of directors voted to spend about $1.4 million to upgrade the video board in Sanford Stadium to “HD quality.” Although the current size of 52 feet high by 76 feet wide will remain the same, it will be retrofitted to enable the use of the full screen when desired.  The current video is size is limited to  25 feet by 46 feet screen, with the rest of the board used for scores, statistics, animations, etc.  The new usable size will therefore almost double.  The modified screen will be completed by the home opener against South Carolina on Sept. 10, 2011.  (source: ajc.com)

The good news:  When we win, you will be able to see all the smiles in HD.  The bad news:  When we loose, you will get to see the anguish, sweat, and tears in HD.  On Sept 10th, CMR, please be advised that I for one have no desire to see Spurrier’s ‘shit eatin’ grin’ and sunvisor in HD.  OK?
