Tomorrow at 4:30 the Georgia Bulldogs will be hosting the Gamecocks of South Carolina who is ranked at number 12. Last time these two teams met was last September in Columbia; South Carolina beat Georgia 17-6. In last season’s matchup, Marcus Lattimore ran for 182 yards with two touchdowns. Georgia didn’t score any touchdowns at all, just got two Blair Walsh’s field goals.
In tomorrow’s matchup, Aaron Murray hopes to have a big day with his receivers. Tavarres King and Rantavious Wooten will have to put up big numbers in order to beat South Carolina. They can’t afford drop passes like they did in last week’s loss to Boise State. If the defense can stop Marcus Lattimore, and the Bulldogs offense can score points it will be a long day for the Gamecocks.
South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia will start in tomorrow’s game. Coach Steve Spurrier who used sophomore quarterback Connor Shaw in last week’s win over East Carolina; will probably play if Stephen Garcia doesn’t perform well early in the game.
The Bulldogs will be without their top defensive back Alec Ogletree, his twin brother Zander Ogletree mentioned that he might be back for the Florida game. Georgia’s running back Isaiah Crowell will try to have a breakout game tomorrow, hoping to rush for over 100 yrds. He will play a lot more tomorrow. Isaiah Crowell rushed for 60 yrds last week but didn’t get into the endzone at all.
South Carolina freshman wide receiver Damiere Byrd will miss tomorrow’s game due to suspension. Damiere Byrd was involved in Delaware-based S.A.M. during his high school senior year. Damiere Byrd will miss a total of 4 games, he was suspended in last week’s win over East Carolina and will be missing the next few weeks. Damiere Byrd will have to make a $2,700 payment of ”recruitment inducements and impermissible benefits” to charity before the NCAA will let him play again.
