Georgia Bulldogs will play the Auburn Tigers this Saturday afternoon in Athens. Georgia is 7-2, on a 7 game winning streak. Auburn Tigers are 6-3, 4-2 in conference play. This annual game is known as ” The Oldest Rivalry in the Deep South” since 1892. Georgia is hoping to win this game and hope for South Carolina to lose to Florida so they can wrap up the East division title.

Isaiah Crowell, Carlton Thomas, and Ken Malcome are reinstated from their suspension. Isaiah Crowell will start this Saturday and Carlton Thomas will be in the game as well. Aaron Murray who threw 5 touchdowns last Saturday will hope to have a similar success. Georgia Bulldogs have come a long way since early September when they were just 0-2. Last time these two teams met, Auburn beat Georgia 49-31. Auburn ended up winning the National Championship.

This year’s Auburn team is not as 1 dimensional. Last season Cam Newton relied on his speed and his arm strength to score points. Auburn doesn’t have Nick Fairley either. Quarterback Barrett Trotter doesn’t have the same numbers as Cam Newton but he has 10 touchdowns with 6 interceptions. He has thrown for 1009 yards and has a 54.4 passing percentage rate. Running back Micheal Dyer has 9 touchdowns and has 989 rushing yards. Wide Receiver Emory Blake is no cupcake either. He has 5 touchdowns and has 404 receiving yards. He also has 24 receptions this season.

Auburn Tigers can be dangerous on the ground as well as in the air. Look for Georgia to blitz Barrett Trotter early on in the game. Georgia will use their usual receiving corps like Chris Conley, Orson Charles, and Aron White to go deep early in the game. This should be a good game, hopefully Georgia will come out as a winner. This game will be televised on CBS at 3:30 nationally.
