Three former Georgia Bulldogs were named to the 2012 Pro Bowl rosters on Tuesday.

All three former Dawgs were named to the AFC team. Denver cornerback Champ Bailey was named a starter, while Cincinnati wide receiver and Oakland defensive lineman Richard Seymour were named as reserves.

One notable omission for Bulldog Nation was former UGA quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford, who was top-four in the NFC in passing yards, touchdown passes and completion percentage in leading Detroit to its first playoff appearance since 1999, was passed over in favor of Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, New Orleans’ Drew Brees and the New York Giants’ Eli Manning.

The Pro Bowl will take place Jan. 29, 2012, in Honolulu.
