Georgia juniors Michael Bennett and Malcolm Mitchell have been named to the 2013 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, according to an announcement from the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) on Tuesday.

The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the most outstanding receiver in college football. Receivers may be added to the watch list as their season performances dictate.

The 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented live on December 12th during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show to be broadcast on ESPN. The winner will receive his trophy at the Biletnikoff Award Banquet at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on February 8, 2014.

The TQC will announce the 10 award semifinalists on November 18th, following the vote by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee. Likewise, the three finalists will be declared following another vote on November 25th.

Bennett, a split end from Alpharetta, has 56 career receptions for 665 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2012, he had 24 catches for 345 yards (14.4 per/reception) and four touchdowns before being sidelined with an injury. Bennett went down with an ACL injury during practice after the fifth game last year and is now fully recovered.

Mitchell, a flanker from Valdosta, finished his sophomore season second on the team with 40 catches for 572 yards and four touchdowns despite playing offense regularly in only the last 10 games. After sitting out the 2012 opener with an ankle injury, Mitchell started games two through four at cornerback and registered 12 tackles.

On special teams, Mitchell led the Bulldogs in kickoff returns (16 returns, 360 yards, 22.5 average) and punt returns (11, 57, 5.2).
