Georgia Football: Bulldogs Put Eight On SEC Coaches Preseason Teams

The fifth-ranked Georgia football team has eight players who were included on the 2013 Southeastern Conference Coaches Preseason All-SEC teams, according to an announcement from the league office on Thursday.

Georgia and LSU were tied for second in the conference with eight selections apiece. Alabama led the way with 16 total selections.

The Bulldogs tied with the Tide for the most First Team selections on offense with three. Senior quarterback Aaron Murray, sophomore tailback Todd Gurley and senior tight end Arthur Lynch were all voted to the First Team on offense.

Georgia had a combined three Second Team selections. Senior guard Chris Burnette was included on offense while sophomore outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins and junior cornerback Damian Swann were on the Second Team from the defense.

Both sophomore tailback Keith Marshall and junior flanker Malcolm Mitchell were on the Third Team offense to round out the Bulldogs’ eight selections.
