The SEC had a tremendous bowl season, going 7-3 and securing the best conference bowl record in the nation. Although Georgia’s performance in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl wasn’t quite good enough to overcome a very tough Nebraska team, ESPN.com recognized couple of individuals who had great bowl performances.

Chris Low, of the Worldwide Leader, put together his SEC All-Bowl team, naming the players he felt were tops at their position in all the SEC bowl games. Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch and kicker Marshall Morgan were the two members of the Georgia football team that Low felt made a big difference.

On Lynch: “Lynch would love to have that last pass back, but he still hauled in six catches for 69 yards, including receptions to help set up a couple of field goals”

On Morgan: “Morgan kept the Bulldogs in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl by making all four of his field-goal attempts. ”

In what ended up being both an injury-filled and disappointing season for the Dawgs, having a national journalist of note find something positive at the season’s end is a breath of fresh air.
