Missouri Tigers

Defensive Coordinator: Dave Steckel (5th year, 14th with team)
2013 ranks – 50th vs. run, 109th vs. pass

The Tigers had their struggles on defense last season, and were it not for the heroic efforts of a couple of guys named Michael Sam and Kony Ealy, it could have been much worse.

And if you didn’t know, those two guys are now going to be playing on Sundays.

That, along with some other key departures, leaves some big holes for the Tigers to fill, and frankly they don’t have the personnel to do it. They were bad against the pass last season, and it will probably be that or worse this year.

Even if Markus Golden and Shane Ray can solidify that line, it won’t be enough. The linebackers are fair, at best. If Kentrell Brothers, who is coming back from injury, has a good season it will help…a little.

Long season for the Tigers defense and fans coming up.
