Georgia Bulldogs Offensive Guard Solomon Kindley was granted a redshirt by the NCAA.

Solomon Kindley had a pretty short first season for the Georgia Bulldogs. In fact, he ended up only making it onto the field for one play. That one snap against Missouri this past year was likely going to mean that Kindley would have exhausted his freshman season.

However, Kirby Smart and his coaches appealed to the NCAA and they ruled in favor of the appeal today. It looked like he would be pushing for playing time early on last season after that snap. Unfortunately he never played again and Smart had suggested several times that he was battling injuries at times.

A Jacksonville native, Kindley will likely compete for a starting guard spot this year. The offensive line has a lot more competition going into 2017 than it did in 2016. Having another player in Kindley with 4 more years of eligibility will really help to keep pushing this area to be much better this year.
