Anyone who follows Georgia football recruiting is likely already aware of one of the top juniors in the country, Zamir “Zeus” White.

The Laurinburg, NC-native is the top-ranked running back in the country for the class of 2018, and the no. 3 player overall.

Not only did White release his top four on twitter on Monday, which included Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, and North Carolina, he’s also started to trend towards Georgia in 247sports’ crystal ball predictions.

From Nov. 18 to Feb. 18, every crystal ball prediction that was made for White was in favor of Clemson, but after visiting Athens this past weekend, his second visit to Athens this month, things have changed.

Starting on Monday, seven straight crystal ball predictions have been made in favor of the Bulldogs, including Dawgs247 insiders Kipp Adams and Jake Rowe. Currently, 61 percent of crystal ball predictions are for Clemson while 39 percent are for Georgia.

Georgia was considered the clear leader for White under the old administration with Mark Richt, but since Kirby Smart arrived, the race has evened out. Most consider this to be a Georgia/Clemson race, but you can’t count out the home-state Tar Heels and Alabama is always a contender.

Georgia has had a lot of success recruiting North Carolina in recent years, especially with running backs. In the class of 2012 the Dawgs were able to snag the tandem of Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall from the Tar Heel state. Then in 2014 they signed the nation’s no. 3 tight end Jeb Blazevich, who will be a senior this fall.

Zeus is expected to make his decision on June 27, his mother’s birthday. His mother, like with many recruits, is expected to be very influential in his decision. It’s worth noting that she has been with him on each of his visits to Athens this month.
