Perhaps the biggest question mark for the Georgia Football team this year. What are they going to do at offensive line? This was probably the most highly recruited position group of 2017 but only one of those players will be at spring training. D’Marcus Hayes has a great opportunity to win the left tackle spot although having only been on campus for 10 weeks, he has to take it from Isaiah Wynn.

We detailed the position battles for Tackles and the Interior in a recent position battle series. However right now, with 5 of the top recruits still not in school, Georgia coaches will be hoping for a push from some current players.

Ben Cleveland is someone who has the size and power to become a dominant guard. After redshirting in 2016, Georgia needs him to take a step forward and win a position in the interior. He will be battling against fellow Redshirted Freshman Solomon Kindley. A less heralded recruit, Kindley replicated Cleveland’s massive size and both are prototype ‘road graders’.

Fans should keep an eye out to see if Hayes, Cleveland and Kindley are able to take spots with the starts as spring progresses. Sam Pittman will not just hand them out. While these three offer the size and power he wants from his linemen, Georgia will push them to win their jobs. If they do, it would be a positive sign for the season. If they don’t there should be real concern that the line will be a weakness in 2017.
