Georgia Football is right in the running to sign Wide Receiver Kearis Jackson.

Kearis Jackson is Georgia’s #1 target at wide receiver for the 2018 class. He’s a top 100 player with explosive speed and impressive strength. How many wide receivers are also their state champion at shot put? Just Jackson? Yep, he’s an impressive athlete.

Jackson has been playing his recruitment very close to his vest although he has always been very close to Georgia. He’s remained very close to Kirby Smart and has even said that he had a ‘secret conversation’ with UGA’s head coach at his last visit. Some have speculated this was a silent commitment. Others that it was one based around UGA doing certain things over the next few months.

Anyway, he’s in Oregon at the moment alongside a lot of the nations top athletes and he dropped his top 8 before leaving. Unsurprisingly Georgia is in it.

To me, Kearis is someone who might wait until halfway through the season to finally commit to UGA. However, I do think that he is quite likely to stay home and I think he is probably a ‘silent commit’ at the moment. I hope that means that he’s doing his best to try and bring other players to Georgia. Time will tell, but if he does come to Athens, he’s got the kind of skills that could make him a day 1 impact player.
