Georgia football has had hundreds of great players over their 125-year history. But if the University erected a Mount Rushmore of Georgia football, who would be up there?

Honestly, do you need me to tell you who would be on a theoretical Mount Rushmore of Georgia football? Out of everyone that has played for the Red and Black it’s pretty clear who the top four are.

Herschel Walker as the greatest player in college football history. Frank Sinkwich as Georgia’s first Heisman winner. Charlie Trippi as Georgia’s first Maxwell Award winner. And David Pollack as a multi-award winner and Georgia’s second three-time All-American.

That was easy enough. But that’s not why you’re reading this of course. So instead of going into detail about one Mount Rushmore, we’ll do separate ones for different positions on the Georgia football team.

These aren’t necessarily the top four players or coaches in school history. But they’re the most notable and important people.
