With the season inching closer, I’m going to preview each of the 12 games Georgia Football will have in 2017.

After what should be a relatively simple start to the season against App State, UGA’s second game will be a seriously big test. The Georgia Football team will find itself playing a night game in Notre Dame. Now while the fighting Irish did not have the best year in 2016, they should not be underestimated. This is a big test for Georgia. So lets have a quick look at what the dawgs will be up against in South Bend.

Who were they last year:

The Fighting Irish lost 4 players to the NFL draft after the 2015 season. However, with a Quarterback many were expecting to be a top 10 pick in DeShone Kizer leading the team, the Irish were expected to put together a solid 2016 season. Things started very wrong in the first game of the season however. They ended up losing 50-47 in a double overtime thriller against Texas. That was the first loss in a 4-8 season that was the worst of Head Coach Brian Kelly’s career since he went 4-7 at Central Michigan 13 years ago.

They lost winable games against Duke, NC State and Navy. They were able to overcome Mark Richt’s Miami which was a decent win. However overall, it was highly disappointing season. What made it even worse was the fact that they had that start Quarterback. Kizer was considered a potential candidate for the #1 overall pick before the season started, but never developed under Kelly. Despite that, he still went in the second round so the talent is clear for all to see. Even with what should have been a top 10 QB in college, Notre Dame still could not get out of their own way.

In short 2016 was a dud for Notre Dame and their fans were not happy.
