Georgia Football is going to need some of its older players to step up in 2017 if they are going to win the SEC East.

Going into the 2017 season, expectations for the Georgia Football team are high. They should be, this is a more talented roster than in the past few years. That being said, a lot of that talent is very young. That is especially true on offense, where both the quarterback and most of his weapons are sophomores or younger.

It’s therefore very important that the veterans on the offense step up this year. There are several players who this offense is going to lean on very heavily. Not only are they going to need to provide strong leadership, but all of them are going to have to step up and play their best football. All of them could find a way to play on Sundays in some form or another. But more importantly, if they live up to their potential, they could help change the direction of the UGA football program.

To me, there are three players who are going to be hugely important to Georgia this year. All of them should be names people recognize and it’s crucial that they play up to their abilities in 2017. These could well be the players who decide exactly what happens to Georgia’s season.
