Georgia Football fans will get one last time to watch the 2017 senior class today. This is a group of players that deserve a big thank you.

Well Dawg fans, we’re here already. Our final game of the season. When Georgia Football takes on Kentucky today, they will be playing their last game in Athens this season. While there will still be at least 3 games this season, and possibly one more, today is our last chance to watch this team between the hedges.

Unlike 2016, where UGA had a weak senior class, this year is very different. A lot of great players stayed around for one more year to try and set the culture for the new Kirby Smart regime. Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy all could have gone pro last year. All of them have made an impact this year and they have changed the way this team feels.

But there are others as well. Dominick Sanders needs 1 more interception to equal UGA’s record of 16. Jeb Blazevich has been a leader of the offense for several years. Reggie Davis has been a great 3rd option in our linebacking corp. Aaron Davis went from a walk-on to a starting corner in the SEC. Isaiah Wynn is undersized for a left tackle and yet he’s had a really solid season and been a leader on the Line.

John Atkins has stuffed the run for years. Cameron Nizliack came in this year and has been one of the best punters in the country. Roquan Smith isn’t a senior, but this might be the last chance to see him too. UGA’s defensive leader will be a 1st round pick if he leaves so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him go.

All of this class have made a huge impact at Georgia. They are the reason that Georgia sits 9-1 right now. They have changed the culture and made UGA a relevant national program again. Today, Dawg fans have one last chance to say thank you to these players.

So if you’re in Sanford today, forget about what happened last week. Let these guys know how much you appreciate what they have done for this school over the past 4 years. This class will be one we look back on for some time as the year that changed the program. Let’s make sure we give them the send off they all deserve.
