Georgia Football continues to lay waste to the rest of the SEC on the recruiting trail as they pulled out a top player out of the state of Tennessee in Bill Norton.

Kirby Smart keeps winning on the recruiting trail. Georgia Football got a commitment from one of the most exciting players on their board in defensive linemen Bill Norton. Norton, a 270lbs defensive end is one of the best players in the state of Tennesee in the 2019 class. Right now, he’s ranked as the 128th player in the country. To be honest, I think that’s a bit low. His film is pretty savage.

Norton is one of the most relentless players I have seen in the 2019 class. He’s just a violent player who looks like a future monster in the trenches. His play absolutely jumps off the tape and he looks like a grown man playing against boys despite the fact he’s just a junior.

Norton’s commitment is a huge win for UGA. He’s been a priority for Kirby Smart for a long time and Tray Scott has been all over him since he arrived in Athens. Right now he’s ranked as the 3rd best player in Tennessee. By the time these rankings are over, I expect him to be the top guy. With Cade Mays in town, that would give UGA the top player from that state 2 years in a row.

According to Jeff Sentell at Dawgnation.com, Norton committed to UGA after spending the weekend in Knoxville. He gave Pruitt a shot, but he decided that Athens was the place for him. It gives Kirby Smart his first win over Pruitt in the 2019 class. Now, of course, this isn’t over until he signs, but Norton’s decision seems pretty final. He’s going to become a real trench monster when he gets to Athens.
