Georgia basketball’s 2019 recruiting class is already one of the best in the history of the program. However, the Bulldogs ain’t done yet.

Head coach Tom Crean already has the 2019 Georgia basketball class at a place the program has never seen. Now, after a tweet, the head coach has me thinking, the Dawgs still want one more guy.

Georgia currently has the No. 9 class in the country and No. 3 in the SEC with five commits. Kentucky sits at the top SEC spot, followed by Florida.

The Bulldogs have signed one 5-star and four 4-stars. Georgia’s class includes 5-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards. He is a 6-5, 214-pound guard from Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta. Edwards selected the Bulldogs over Kentucky, Auburn, FSU, Florida, and Clemson. He has 16 offers.

According to 247Sports 2019 basketball rankings, he ranks as the No. 2 overall, the No. 1 SG, and the No. 1 player from Georgia.

The next signee for the Dawgs is Christian Brown, a 4-star forward from Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. He’s the No. 66 overall, the No. 17 SF, and the No. 3 VA player. Then there is Jaykwon Walton a 4-star forward from Montgomery, Alabama. He’s the No. 77 overall, the No. 18, and the No. 2 AL player.

The latest to join the Dawgs is Sahvir Wheeler, a four-star point guard from Houston, Texas. He’s the No. 93 overall, the No. 7 PG, and the No. 10 player from Texas. Wheeler was a huge pickup for the Dawgs and will be vital right away. Crean says he reminds him of J.J. Fraizer in a 247Sports article.

Rounding out the class is four-star forward Toumani Camara from Hollywood, Florida. He’s the No. 95 overall, the No. 24 SF and the No. 14 player from Florida. The Bulldogs grabbed Donnell Gresham Jr as a transfer from the Northeastern Huskies. He will be able to play immediately for the Dawgs.

After that impressive of a class, how else could Crean make it better? He can do that by adding 5-star forward, Precious Achiuwa.

Achiuwa is a 6-9, 215-pound forward from Montverde, Florida. He is the No. 14 overall player, the No. 4 SF and the No. 3 player in the state of Florida.

The Bulldogs have to fight off Memphis, UNC, Connecticut, Syracuse, and Kansas. Georgia doesn’t have an easy task.

However, with star sophomore, Nicolas Claxton flirting with the NBA Draft, Crean, and his staff have to make sure they can replace him. Claxton has to decide by tomorrow whether he’s coming back or pursuing the NBA Draft.

Achiuwa would be the perfect replacement and an excellent addition to the team.

247Sports  evaluated him as a potential first-round draft pick. He is one of the top combo forwards in this class, and the Bulldogs want him bad. Achiuwa is strong and has an incredible leaping ability. He isn’t known for his consistency of production, but with Crean’s development, he could turn into someone that can be consistent.

I’m putting the Bulldogs on commitment watch with Achiuwa, and I think that Crean and his staff shock the basketball world and get this one.

If the Dawgs snagged him away from Kansas, UNC, and Memphis that would be a huge moral victory for Crean heading into his second season as the head coach.

If Georgia got Achiuwa, then the Bulldogs would have two five-stars. Georgia would give the Dawgs a 69.31 and the No. 4 class in the country.

Achiuwa makes his college decision this weekend, and the Bulldogs will find out their fate. For now, the Dawgs have a shot, and when Crean says their not done yet, we have to believe him. Not to mention he gets brownie points for using the football team’s ‘we’re not done yet’ mantra.
