Georgia football wrapped up their second and final scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, and once again the thing that UGA fans want to know most is how Georgia's quarterbacks performed. The media was unfortunately not allowed to attend the scrimmage again, but sources inside the program were able to shared some information with the media about how the scrimmage went for everyone, including the QBs.

And these sources used one word to describe how all three Georgia quarterbacks performed on Saturday.

"All three quarterbacks, Gunner Stockton, Ryan Puglisi and Ryan Montgomery, appeared competent, as the coaches were said to have utilized this scrimmage more like a game," Mike Giffith shared via dawgnation.com.

Georgia QB deemed "competent" during Saturday's scrimmage

According to Georgia insider Mike Griffith's source inside the program, the three Georgia quarterbacks all looked "competent" during UGA's scrimmage on Saturday. It is a very good thing to hear that true freshman Ryan Montgomery is looking competent because he has barely had any time on campus and is coming off an injury, so this update for him is very encouraging.

But most Georgia fans likely would want to hear more concrete information about Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi who are battling for the starting QB job. Being "competent" isn't good enough to win at Georgia, so if that is all they are then Georgia could be in trouble this season.

Georgia fans however shouldn't read into this quote too much because Kirby Smart is keeping as much information as close to his chest as possible. He doesn't want people outside the program to know how things are going during fall camp with his quarterbacks, so Smart likely is telling everyone inside the program to give as little information as possible. So that is probably why a boring word like "competent" was used.

Georgia fans only have about two weeks to wait until the 2025 season begins, so they soon enough will be able to learn just how competent Georgia's quarterbacks are this season.
