The 2025 college football season is about 100 days away, so that means it’s time to start building hype and getting excited for the best time of the year.

Georgia football will face a lot of challenges this season. Not only will the SEC be the best conference in the country once again, but the Bulldogs face what is potentially the most difficult schedule in the country for the second year in a row. On top of that, there are serious question marks all over the field for this team, especially at quarterback.

Even with all that being the case, Georgia’s goal this season is to be crowned the National Champion. That obviously is easier said then done, especially when looking at the other elite teams across the country.

So here are 10 teams that have the best chance at preventing Georgia from winning a national title this season.

1. Texas Longhorns

The first team worth mentioning is a very easy choice, and that is the Texas Longhorns.

Texas is the favorite to win the SEC this season, and it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see them win the National Championship either. The bad news for Georgia is that they have to play this extremely talented team once again this year, and this game is the most likely spot for Georgia to drop a game this season.

On top of that, Georgia could play Texas in the SEC title game again this year as well, and a loss to the Longhorns in that game would force Georgia to have to win four games to win the College Football Playoff.

The one thing however that makes Texas the scariest team for Georgia this year is motivation. The Bulldogs beat Texas twice last season, including a dominant win in their own stadium. So Texas would love nothing more than to return the favor and beat Georgia in Athens towards the end of this season.
