13 Georgia commits saw movement in 247Sports recruiting update
Everyone loves talking about recruiting, right? Maybe not so much during the season as compared to the offseason, but it obviously is extremely important no matter what time of year we’re in.
Thankfully Kirby Smart and his staff have not let up on the recruiting trail as the season has begun, even if us fans pay less attention to it now. But in case you haven’t been following recruiting that closely, Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class currently is the No. 5 recruiting class in the country. The Bulldogs currently have 22 commits in their class, and that number will likely increase in the coming days, as will the overall class ranking.
While we wait for more commitments, 247Sports has released their latest update to their recruiting rankings. 247Sports ranks the top 250 players in the class, and as you would guess Georgia has a lot of commits inside the top 250.
In total, 13 Georgia commits saw a change in their recruiting ranking, so let’s see who saw their ranking improve and who saw theirs drop.

Recruiting Update Highlights
Georgia football has 13 of their 22 commits ranked inside the 247Sports top 250.
Four-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston saw the biggest improvement to their ranking among all 13 Bulldog commits. Gaston moved from No. 170 up to No. 108.
Four-star tight end Ethan Barbour saw the biggest decrease in his ranking. Barbour fell from No. 138 all the way down to No. 218.
Georgia had eight commits see an improvement in their ranking while five saw their ranking decrease.
Surprisingly, no new UGA commits entered 247Sports top 250. Alternatively, no Bulldogs’ commits fell outside the top 250 either.
After all of the updates to player rankings, Georgia’s 2025 class remained steady at No. 5 in the country. Georgia also remained at No. 4 in the SEC recruiting rankings, behind Alabama, LSU and Auburn.
