CHOKED ON AN IDAHO POTATO

facebooktwitterreddit

Well, the buzz all over the internet, blogs, and sporting news since Saturday’s disasterous conclusion to Georgia’s overtime game with those ugly damn green reptiles, is our defensive coordinator caught on video giving the choking motion gesture to Florida’s kicker as he came back out on the field to kick the game ending three pointer.

Now some may say that was childish and unprofessional. Others, such as yours truly saw it from a different perspective. I look at it from Todd Grantham’s point of view. You see the choking maneuver is Rule number 25 (b) in The Manual for Self Preservation Of Assistant Coaches Who Suck Worse Than Their Predecessor And Are About To Lose Their Jobs.

What the camera caught appears on the surface to be a grown man trying to psyche out a teenager into missing a game winning field goal. But what actually was transpiring was Todd was gasping for breath at the thought of his having left his job with the Dallas Cowboys to coach at a school, where he and his head coach are going to get canned after only one season. He was choking on that Idaho State Potato, as it, unfortunately, will be the last game our Dawgs will win this season, mainly due to his defensive coaching (or rather lack thereof).

A losing season, including the losses to Florida, Auburn (it will be ugly), and Georgia Tech will be the final nail in the Mark Richt’s coffin.

Now, Greg McGarity, Mr. Athletics Director for UGA, I command you to go after Chris Peterson at Boise State, not tomorrow, not next week, not next month, but NOW! Look at his record and what he has done at that “Blue Football Field Place”:
