ANOTHER DAWG DEFECTS! MUSCHAMP TO THE GATORS! OH HELL NO!

This is traditionally a big recruiting weekend for Georgia.  Georgia’s seniors will be honored with a big “to do” event for the football program.  In the last couple of years, we have gotten some great commitments this weekend.

Enter 5 star Tight End recruit, Jay Rome.  This weekend he will have his official visit to UGA. He is the top rated tight end for the 2011 class, and from all reports he not only catches the ball extremely well but already has a heads up on being a great blocker.  These are all assets that Georgia needs and needs now.  As we all know, the tight end position has always played an integral part in Richt’s Offense.  So, cross your fingers, toes, and anything else you have to cross, that he gets excited in God’s Country this weekend.  Allegedly, even though he has family ties at Clemson, he has narrowed his destination to Alabama or Georgia. On another totally unrelated note, I heard from a fairly reliable source today that the AD at West Virginia University (WVU) has Mark Richt in his top 5 desirables to possibly replace Bill Stewart.  Say what???  First Colorado, then Miami, and now WVU???  This irresistible urge to hire a coach from a program that has been in decline for three years is mind boggling.  However, whatever the reason, these folks need to get in their heads, as per my prior blogs, Richt isn’t going anywhere!  It is either Georgia or retirement.  So, let us just hope he can turn this thing around starting in 2011.  I am sure that all of us would be happy if this coaching issue does not have to come up again.

Woop!  Woop!  Stop the presses!  This rumor just leaked as of 20 minutes ago, the new head coach for the Florida Gators is our own Will Muschamp, former Dawg, now Defensive Coordinator at Texas.  What if this is true?  That means we have a Dooley at Tennessee; a former Dawg coaching defense at Alabama; and now a former Dawg heading up those disgusting lizards lying south of the Georgia Border???  Oh my, what has the world come to???????????????
