Stacy Searels has resigned his job as Offensive Line Coach for the Dawgs to take the same job for Mack Brown at the University of Texas. My initial reaction to this was “GREAT! ALTHOUGH CMR DID NOT MAKE THE MOVE (AS FAR AS WE KNOW) OUR GAIN IS THEIR LOSS, AND GOOD RIDDANCE TO DEAD WEIGHT!”
As wonderful as Searles was supposed to be when we got him 2007-08 (Offensive Line Coach); and 2009 (Offensive Line and Running Game Coordinator) the results on the field for an experienced line simply SUCKED for the last two years. Play is a direct result of coaching. If the play (or lack thereof) sucks, then the coaching sucks. Sorry, did I say ‘sucks’ enough times? And, of course the dude played at Auburn. Need I say anything else?
So, where do we get his replacement? Lots of choices, but Hugh Nall, who played center for the Dawgs, has good coaching experience in the position (coached for the ‘War Chickens’ for years, before Tuberville canned him and others as scape goats), and he is not doing anything right now. Now, isn’t there anybody out there that might want to hire Bobo away from us? As Henny Youngman, comedian, once said, “Take my wife……………………………PLEASE!” So, in regard to comparing SEC play callers, take Mike Bobo………………………………………PLEASE!
