Georgia’s Linebacker out 4-6 weeks

Sophomore middle linebacker Alec Ogletree will miss 4-6 with a broken bone on his right foot. Alec Ogletree broke his foot while making tackle in Saturday night game against Boise State. Georgia will miss him dearly, he played safety last season then was moved to middle linebacker during the summer. He will be operated today at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
With South Carolina coming to Athens this weekend, Georgia is in a hole with the starting defense.
Michael Gilliard who is a junior will try to take his spot along with freshman Amario Herrera. Both will compete for the starting job for this Saturday’s game. Also Jeremy Sulek who is a walk-on senior will also be part of the linebacker corps that will be competing for the middle linebacker position. Jeremy played in Saturday’s loss to Boise State and recorded 7 tackles, five of them were by himself.
South Carolina’s running back Marcus Lattimore who had big night over the weekend will try to extend South Carolina’s winning streak over Georgia to 2 games.
