Thats right Georgia fans, the Bulldogs of Georgia beat Coastal Carolina 59-0. This was a good tune up for their next upcoming game next week in Oxford. Who would thought that after two excruciating losses that Georgia would lose on Saturday. Coastal Carolina didn’t give much of a fight Saturday, coughing up 59 points and letting our big boys do our thing.
Georgia got on the board in the first quarter when Isaiah Crowell scored a 27 yard touchdown run. Then later after Coastal Carolina couldn’t do anything, the Bulldogs marched down the field again. Aaron Murray did the honors by running in the endzone for a 1 yard touchdown to make it 14-0. Later in the quarter, Tavarres King scored a 32 yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0.
In the 2nd quarter, the Bulldogs scored two touchdowns by Malcolm Mitchell and another by Tavarres King. By halftime it was time to use the second string. The Bulldogs now have control of the game. Coastal Carolina used 3 quarterbacks, neither could get the Chanticleers in the endzone.
In the 3rd quarter Georgia scored 4 times, one was Blair Walsh’s 56 yard field goal. Backup quarterback for Georgia, Hutson Mason even ran for a 1yard touchdown. He threw a 33 yard touchdown pass to Orson Charles midway in the 3rd quarter. Carlton Thomas finished with a 17 yard run to make it 59-0. The Bulldogs didn’t score at all in the 4th quarter.
It was nice clean win for the Bulldogs, they are now 1-2, but they have to keep up the pace if they want win the SEC East division. Next week the Bulldogs go to Oxford to face Ole Miss. Then on October 1, Mississippi State comes to Athens. Ole Miss lost yesterday to Vanderbilt 30-7 in Nashville. If Ole Miss plays the same way as yesterday, Georgia should have a field day.
