Well there are a few things that are going to happen in the SEC. One thing is expansion, by that means; teams like Texas A&M and Missouri are going to join the SEC. West Virginia wanted to join the SEC but got rejected. Then West Virginia got rejected by the ACC.
Auburn is going to move to the East division which means the Alabama-Auburn rivalry will be a little different than before. The SEC wants to have 14 teams in the conference maybe more later. The reason Auburn is moving to the East Division is to let Texas A&M and Missouri be in the West division. So when Auburn officially plays in the East Division the rivalry will be a little different. The Georgia-Auburn rivalry will be more intense but when Auburn plays a team like LSU, it won’t have a division impact.
Oklahoma Sooners wanted to join the SEC but now they might join the Pac 12, same with Texas Longhorns. Too many teams are leaving their old traditions to join a conference that geographically isn’t close to their schools.
