Georgia beats Miss State, 3-2

Georgia Bulldogs beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 24-10. Georgia has now won 3 in a row since starting the season at 0-2. Georgia is now 3-2, 2-1 in conference play. Georgia is now in 3rd place in the SEC East division. Running back Isaiah Crowell had a big game, he rushed for more than 100 yrds.
Georgia took the lead first and never looked back. Georgia got a touchdown in the first quarter. Orson Charles scored a 21 yard touchdown pass to put Georgia up 7-0. Mississippi State then later got on the board by a Derek DePasquale 42 yard field goal. Georgia wasn’t done yet; Malcolm Mitchell put Georgia up 14-3 on a 6 yard pass from Aaron Murray.
In the 2nd quarter, Georgia got another touchdown from Carlton Thomas’ 7 yard run. Georgia now leads 21-3. Georgia’s defense was spectacular. They created turnovers when they needed it, sacked Chris Relf a few times.
In the 3rd quarter, Georgia only got a 28 yard field goal by Blair Walsh. Mississippi State couldn’t get anything going on offense. In the 4th quarter, Mississippi State finally scored a touchdown. Mississippi State’s Darius Slay intercepted an Aaron Murray’s pass and returned it for a touchdown. That would be all the scoring in the game. Isaiah Crowell ran for 104 yards on 72 carries. Aaron Murray threw 2 touchdowns, but also threw 3 interceptions. Aaron Murray was 13-25, for 160 yards. There were no 100 yards receiving for the Bulldogs. Malcolm Mitchell had 5 receptions for 60 yards.
Georgia is now 3-2, will be heading to Knoxville to face Tennessee next Saturday night. If the Bulldogs beat Tennessee, they will be one of the hottest teams since starting the season at 0-2. It was a big win for Georgia, it gave them more confidence for themselves.
