Georgia lost ground in today’s Associated Press women’s basketball top 25 poll after going 2-1 last week.
The Lady Dogs (10-2) dropped to No. 17, down from No. 13 the previous week. Georgia lost to then-No. 25 Gonzaga Dec. 19 on a late shot but came back to beat two teams with winning records: Montana State on Dec. 20 and Appalachian State on Dec. 22.
Three other SEC teams are in this week’s top 25: Kentucky (No. 6), Tennessee (No. 7) and Vanderbilt (No. 25).
Georgia hosts Furman on Wednesday. Check back here that day for a Know Thy Enemy preview.
