Georgia notes for your Monday evening

A few notes going into the evening:
- Still no word on the release of the 2012 SEC football schedule, which was reported to be released Monday. We had a report last week that said Georgia would go to Missouri in the Tigers’ first game, but nothing official has been released yet.
- Mizzou, by the way, said farewell to life as a non-SEC member in rather convincing fashion Monday.
- Georgia forward and leading rebounder Marcus Thornton is scheduled for exploratory surgery Tuesday in Athens to find how much damage right knee sustained in an injury during the Furman game Dec. 23.
- Michigan State will be down one long snapper for the Outback Bowl. However, a tight end may be making a return for Sparty in Tampa.
We have a Know Thy Enemy scheduled to hit our site about 11 am EST on Tuesday, and another poll is in the works. And if we’re all lucky, plenty of news on the SEC schedule. Good night, all.
