Here’s some Georgia football news and notes for your Friday morning while I get excited over rock music becoming awesome again:
- While there are still miles to go yet to fill out the 2012 recruiting class, UGA has made a scholarship offer Thursday to rising junior Montravius Adams, a defensive tackle from Dooly County High School near Macon, Ga. Adams also received scholarship offers this week from Alabama, Auburn and Kentucky, while Clemson is also in the mix.
- UGA may still have a shot at top in-state uncommitted prospect Jordan Jenkins before he announces his decision on Monday. A defensive end from Hamilton, Ga., Jenkins is currently ranked 61st on the ESPNU 150. He was scheduled to meet today with UGA assistants Todd Grantham and John Lilly in Florida.
- Speaking of Grantham, UGA is working on keeping him around a few years more, while Orson Charles is still not sure if he’ll back. Charles told the Athens Banner-Herald that the buzz he’s getting on his draft status is late first round/early second round.
