University of Georgia sophomore placekicker Marshall Morgan was arrested Saturday June, 29th and charged with boating under the influence. Department of Natural Resources rangers spotted the watercraft being operated by Morgan pulling a couple of inner tubes on Lake Sinclair without a spotter. Morgan admitted that he had consumed alcohol but refused to take a sobriety test and was booked into the Putnam County Jail.

Coach Richt is aware of the situation and under university policy, Morgan is likely to receive a two game suspension.

The number two kicker coming out of spring practice is sophomore Patrick Beless, redshirt freshman Thomas Pritchard is third, both are untested in game situations, especially games as big as the Clemson opener and South Carolina in week two. Punter Collin Barber along with Adam Erickson are also capable of kicking field goals and don’t overlook freshman quarterback Brice Ramsey who has a strong leg with 50 yard range.
