Wide receiver Shakenneth Williams from Rutland High School in Macon was the first prospect to commit to the Georgia staff during the annual Dawg Night camp. At 6-2, 195, he has the prototypical size that the Dawg staff covets in a receiver along with great hands and body control.

The second in-state prospect to pull the trigger was Lowndes County”s big offensive lineman Dyshon Sims, the 6-4, 280 pound tackle has seen his recruiting skyrocket in the past few months

They were joined by Florida safety prospect Kendall Gant (6-2, 185) from Lake Gibson High School in Lakeland.

Rain and lightning forced the group inside the athletic complex where they waited out a severe thunderstorm before resuming the camp on the turf fields.

A couple of top targets remain on campus for the weekend, four star offensive lineman Isaiah Winn from St. Petersburg, Florida and Ole Miss commit C. J. Hampton, a safety from Meridian, Mississippi. Winn is considered a heavy Georgia lean and could commit before leaving campus.

Update: Winn has committed and becomes the fourth new Dawg of the weekend!
