The publication, widely regarded as one of the best for college football previews and news, published its annual list on Wednesday.
Named to the first team were tailback Todd Gurley, inside linebacker Ramik Wilson and placekicker Marshall Morgan Wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell, center David Andrews and outside linebackers Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins were named to the second team.
Offensive tackle John Theus and cornerback Damian Swann were named to the third team, and defensive end Ray Drew and inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera were named to the fourth team.
A bit low for Drew and Herrera in this writer’s opinion, but nonetheless, at least they were recognized.
This preseason honor follows the Phil Steele Preseason All-America selections, to which Bulldogs Todd Gurley, Ramik Wilson and Leonard Floyd were all named.

While these preseason honors mean very little in the grand scheme of things, it’s always nice to see the Georgia Bulldogs who put in the hard work to be recognized by those who keep a close eye on the game. It’s a sure thing that we’ll be seeing a lot of the above named mentioned on watch lists for postseason awards as well.
