I just got done watching Chris Conley‘s new film, Star Wars: Retribution, and I have to say I am very impressed. I know I am no film critic, but as a fellow Star Wars enthusiast I feel I can make a valid argument as to why you should watch this awesome movie.

This film has everything!
Comedy– The evil empire was making people in Athens wear jean shorts! (That’s “jorts” to you people who speak Gator). I am not one to usually laugh out loud, but in this case I could not help it. Not to mention the comedic cameos of both Todd Gurley (as a Superman type character) and Coach Mark Richt (who was oblivious to the galactic battle going on around him), both of which would make any Georgia fan smile. For comedy I give this a 5 out of 5 stars.
Drama– I was actually really impressed by the acting of the guy who played the young Jedi. I think he portrayed his emotions (fear/sadness) very well. Chris Conley also played an amazing villain. With a major death towards the end I think the film had just the right amount of drama. 4 out of 5 stars from me!
Suspense– Let me just go ahead and say 5 out of 5 stars on suspense. I loved the scenes where Khari Vion takes out a whole group of jedis! The music really also helped with the suspense of this film. Effects…sounds… A plus all around!
As to not spoil too much I have to say my favorite part was the ending. I actually got chills watching it! Also, at the very end it shows the arch and says “Hope” Interestingly enough for those of you who do not know I have the arch tattoo with the word “Hope” under it.
So just in case you have not seen it yet you should absolutely dedicate a half hour out of your time and watch it. I promise you will enjoy it!
