QB Faton Bauta

If you haven’t seen Bauta play yet, you’re missing something special. Obviously Hutson Mason is going to be the starter, and will take the bulk of Georgia’s snaps. But Bauta, a redshirt sophomore, can do some special things and will probably see more than just mop-up time for the Dawgs in 2014.

At 6-foot-3 and 22o pounds, Bauta brings a different dimension to the offense when he’s out there. Not dissimilar to what Florida could do when Tim Tebow first appeared on the scene, Bauta can pull the ball down and run hard, as well as making (unlike Tebow) every accurate passes.

Bauta only rushed the ball four times, but managed to get the most of each carry, averaging 7.5 yards each time he ran the ball. Watch for the playbook to include more of Bauta this season, perhaps even with both he and Mason in the huddle together.
