The Arch, Sanford Bridge and the Chapel Bell
Either before the game or after, whichever is your preference, it’s a must to stroll on campus to see and photograph these landmarks.
The iconic arch, which serves as a marking point for the start of campus from the main drag in downtown Athens (but be careful how and who walks under it, for there are superstitions!) cannot be missed. Taking pictures on Sanford Bridge which overlooks the beautiful football stadium has always been a must, and finally, the UGA chapel bell – rung out in victory when the Bulldogs win.
But even in the rare case of a *cough, cough* loss, the chapel bell is still something to see.
These three need to be on the “we’ll do these no matter what” list for your trip to Athens, and are best done in a walking tour from arch, to chapel to bridge.
