No. 3 – Florida Gators

Probable Big Horses: Kelvin Taylor, Mack Brown, Matt Jones

The Gators can play defense. We know that. But will they be able to come back from last season’s disastrous offensive output?

Florida does have some depth at running back, probably more than any position, but whether or not they’ll become a huge threat is yet to be seen.

Kelvin Taylor began to come on last season, and looked to be a step or two faster this Spring. He may be the guy Will Muschamp wants to go to as his main back. The Gators also bring in some good experience with Mack Brown and Matt Jones, both of whom have a lot to prove this season.Incoming freshman Brandon Powell may pass one or more of these guys on the depth chart, and he’ll definitely become a weapon in the passing game out of the backfield.

With a lot of unanswered questions at quarterback, look for Florida to call on this group of backs a lot in 2014.
