Killing the SEC national championship streak
Speaking of national titles…way to go Auburn! The SEC had a long streak going that angered every other college football conference in the country. To be fair, I knew the streak would eventually end (we all did) and my hopes were that Georgia would not be the one to do it because I did not want to hear about it from all the other schools. No worries now! Auburn swooped right on in and embarrassed the conference all on their own.
I guess that’s what happens when we send the luckiest team in the conference instead of the best one.
I know there are many SEC loyalists out there and to be honest I am actually not one. I am not one of the SEC fans who thinks it is OK to cheer for your rival because it “makes the conference look better.” I only care about Georgia and how my team does. With that said I had so much fun watching the loyalists chew Auburn fans a new one after losing that game.
Do not worry SEC loyalists! I am sure Auburn will figure out some way to try and claim that national championship too.
