 No. 5 – Missouri Tigers

Like a supernova Dorial Green-Beckham came to Missouri, shone very brilliantly, and then seemed to collapse on himself. Hopefully for Gary Pinkel at his Tigers, the receiving corp doesn’t fall into the void that the superstar left behind on his way to Soonerland.

Along with Green-Beckham, Matty Mauk no longer has the other two of Missouri’s top three receivers in terms of catches and yards in L’Damian Washington and Marcus Lucas. Both of them are trying to get their shots in NFL camps this summer.  The leading returners are Bud Sasser and Jimmie Hunt – who each had solid years, but nowhere near the production of  the top three.

The Tigers also won’t have teams scheming to stop Green-Beckham at any cost this year either. The great hope for the Tigers in black and gold is a transfer from Texas that has a slow start last season, but the athletic ability to make a difference with a quarterback like Mauk throwing to him.  With the big three available last year, the tight ends weren’t much of a weapon last year, but if the first scrimmage of fall practice is any indication, that may change.
