No. 3 – Tennessee Volunteers

We are now getting into what I’ll call “another level” in the Receivers of the SEC East, in that the next three teams return a lot of the producers from this position group and they have quarterbacks that have had time to get timing down in game situations with these receivers.

The Orange and White return seven out of eight of their leading group from last year in terms of receptions and yards. The one that isn’t returning is a running back. That’s great news for the Vols. Marquez North is a top notch receiver and he’s got a lot of top rated help that will allow the Vols to spread the ball around some.

Their one weakness may be quarterback Justin Worley.  A yards per attempt at 6.32 (YPA) and a TD to INT ratio of 10 to 8 does not bring back memories of Peyton Manning. Worley has been to war…and with these guys, so you have to expect some improvement. The key word to me for the Tennessee receiving corp is “potential”.
