New Nike cross-training line to feature UGA-themed shoe
When Nike releases its new Lunar TR1 Week Zero collection on August 27, eight different schools will have shoes featuring their logos and colors, and UGA will be included among those schools.

The shoe (pictured above) is adorned with Georgia’s red, black and grey colors, with the famed Georgia “G” on the shoe’s tongue, and the word “Dawgs” inscribed on the side of the sole.
Along with UGA, Nike will be releasing shoes featuring Texas, Michigan State, Oregon, Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma as part of the Week Zero launch, with the shoes becoming available the day before the college football season begins.

Here is Nike’s statement about the design and technology of the shoes themselves, from Nike.com:
"Nike invented the cross-training category born out of a drive to meet the otherworldly needs of multisport athletes. Twenty-seven years later, Nike unveils new state-of-the-art performance training footwear – the Nike Lunar TR1. It is a shoe for the next generation of world-class athletes."
The shoes will have a retail price of $120, and will be available at Nike.com as well as other authorized Nike retailers.
The Lunar TR1 is an excellent training shoe, and if you are serious about your workouts and your Dawgs, then this shoe is a must-have in your locker.
