Is UGA’s Todd Gurley now a two-sport athlete?
Georgia star running back Todd Gurley has picked up another sport while playing football for the Dawgs.

While his teammate Malcolm Mitchell opted for the written word, according to SI.com, Gurley has turned to the links for a hobby outside of the smashing helmets between the hedges.
Teammates Marshall Morgan and Collin Barber recommended that to Gurley that he play golf, and since he started playing in May, he has even shot a birdie. While he says he struggled in his first trips to the driving range, he says his strengths are putting. But he won’t be joining Harris English, Bubba Watson and Russell Henley on the PGA tour anytime soon.
“It’s just fun,” Gurley said. “Once you hit that first ball, you just keep going and going.”
Sounds like a good release for the junior, who many expect to be the best running back in the country this season. While Gurley wants to increase his football stats from last year — 1,430 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns — he is looking to lower his golf score.
No confirmation as to Gurley’s handicap just yet.
It looks like Coach Haack won’t be adding the Heisman Trophy candidate to his roster, but look for Gurley at the UGA golf course more. His putting experience will surely impress those agents, NFL owners and GMs if he opts to enter the draft next spring.
