2013: Battle of 5th Year Senior QBs

A top 10 matchup between No. 8 Clemson and No. 5 Georgia in Death Valley meant Gameday in town for this renewed rivalry featuring fifth year senior quarterbacks in Aaron Murray and Tajh Boyd. Like a precursor for the rest of the season, key injuries to Georgia’s offense hindered a back and forth game for the Bulldogs who led early, 21-14, after a Gurley touchdown in the second quarter.

Clemson came back to take the lead in the second half after Gurley left with an injury, 38-28, and despite Murray’s valiant effort with a dive into the endzone to cut it to 38-35 with a little over a minute left, Clemson held on for the win.
