It’s inevitable. Not just with the Georgia Bulldog Nation, but with any major program that lives under the constant scrutiny of fans and the media.
Lose a game – push the panic button.
Georgia lost their conference opener to South Carolina last weekend, and you’d think the zombie apocalypse was underway in Athens.
Hold the phone, pump the brakes, throw up the stop sign and any other cliche that tells people to relax you can think of. It’s not time to panic yet, Bulldog Nation.
Or, is it?
Sometimes the knee-jerk reaction is the right one, while other times, it’s just that…a jerk.
After Georgia’s loss to South Carolina, several things have to be examined, broken down, and (if applicable) fixed. The second game of the season can tell a lot, and this one told a lot of good and bad about the Bulldogs.
If Georgia is to be seriously considered as a potential SEC champion and playoff team this season, these types of games are going to draw a lot of swift attention, and rightfully so.
Is it time to panic, or is it time to relax and let it breathe for a while?
