Where you set up your tailgate is really important. For example, you don’t want to be in the back corner of the Pharmacy School parking lot.

It’s perfectly normal and okay to walk around to set up your tailgate. Some great spots to consider – East Campus or North Campus. East Campus offers the grassy areas around Ramsey or any of the East Campus dorms. We have a sweet spot outside the East Campus parking deck that has the new exit to the Athens Loop which means no fighting traffic after the game! Great fans, great shade from the trees.

North Campus has the most beautiful setting. The old buildings on one side, downtown on the other. I tailgated here for the disastrous black-out in 2008 versus Alabama. That day we may have lost the game, but we all won the tailgating. North Campus is policed a little more strictly than the rest of campus, so check georgiadogs.com to make sure you are not violating any rules.
