Georgia Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats: Live game thread

Welcome to the live game thread for the Georgia Bulldogs eighth game of the 2014 season, a tilt against the Kentucky Wildcats at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, Ky.

More from Georgia Football

We do this every game to connect with the Bulldog Nation and share thoughts and observations (and hopefully not too many frustrations) during the game.

The Bulldogs are looking to rebound from their horrible loss to the Florida Gators last week, and to keep their hopes alive for an SEC title. This will be Georgia’s last game without Todd Gurley, who will be eligible to return next week.

The Wildcats are a team with nothing to lose, and everything to gain. A win against the Bulldogs would make them bowl eligible, and would have them back on the winning side of things after three straight conference losses.

We talked about the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two team in our game preview, but today is going to be about much more than X’s and O’s for Georgia. A defense that was shredded by the Gators last week is going to be looking for redemption, and quarterback Hutson Mason is going to have to show he can truly lead this team, and not just manage games.

Just join in below in the comments section at the bottom of this post, and let us know what you think about the game as it happens, and we’ll be here to respond and chat with you.

It’s the Bulldogs and the Wildcats, at 12:00 today.

Pregame questions (comment below):

  • Will Nick Chubb set a career record for yards against Kentucky?
  • Will QB Hutson Mason complete more than 2 passes beyond 20 yards today?
  • Can Georgia’s run defense hold the Wildcats under 200 yards?
  • Is the 10-point spread favoring Georgia too much or too little in this game?
  • Will we see more than one Georgia QB play today?
