Damian Swann – Georgia Safety

The senior leader of the secondary started off having a rough season, but a transition back to safety gave Swann a lot more comfort and confidence, and he’s been playing lights out for the last few weeks.

This will be Swann’s final game against Auburn, and don’t think that hasn’t escaped his thought process. He’ll want to play at his utmost best to limit his losses to the Tigers to just one during his career at Georgia.

Swann usually plays well against quarterbacks who are run first-pass second, and D.C. Jeremy Pruitt loves bringing him in on safety blitz packages, which could result in at TFL or a sack when facing an offense like Auburn’s read-option.

The other thing Swann does well is read a quarterback, and Marshall — while good at many things — isn’t very prolific at disguising where he wants to go with the ball when forced into a passing situation, and Swann could feast on some deep pass attempts from Marshall.
