So yeah, Carter was one of the big 5-star grabs for Georgia’s 2014 recruiting class, but everyone really expected a year for him to learn the system, and get comfortable in his role.

But this sack machine has definitely been a nice addition to the defense. If you have ever come across Lorenzo Carter in person then you know he is one scary looking guy who I would not want to be lined up against. After the season he’s having I think the rest of the SEC agrees with me.

Carter’s best game to date in my opinion was against Kentucky. Carter played nearly the entire game in replacement of the hobbled Leonard Floyd (who is obviously no slouch), and he came through with a fantastic nine total tackles, 3.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks to help Georgia to a huge road victory over the Wildcats.

He is working into Pruitt’s system very well, and just like McKenzie and Blazevich, we will have at least two more seasons to watch what he can do between the hedges.
